I recently got my first photography project assigned to me. The past assignments have been more along the lines of homework. But now I have done an actual project. It’s still relatively small in a way, since the number of photos is around the same as the assignments, but the prompt is more difficult than the assignments.

Color Theory Practice
My latest photography assignment was on color and color theory. I had to go out and shoot photos for specific prompts: monochromatic, complementary colors, analogous colors, warm tone, cool tone, etc.

Experimenting with editing
In the past, I would usually edit the photos I take true to color. Basically I would adjust the exposure, white balance, levels, etc to make the photo as true to its actual color as possible. While I still do that, I’m also experimenting with editing photos more stylistically and in a way that’s more interesting to look at.

Exposure Triangle Practice
For one of my first assignments in my Photography class this semester, I had to take photos that explored the Exposure Triangle adjusting the settings in Manual mode (ISO, Shutter Speed, and Aperture). ISO stayed relatively the same throughout this assignment since I was shooting outdoors in sunlight.
